【撰稿 明清】 奥斯汀华裔联盟于2018年10月5日举行了2018年第二次理事大会。会长赵俊达和三位副会长，邱朝欣、张铭聪和赵采姣分别在大会上发言。他们阐述了华盟服务社区和传承中华文化的重大意义，同时表达了对今后工作的信心。会议在会长赵俊达的主持下，首先讨论并表决通过了以下四点内容: 近期增设宣传委员会。以后可能增设商业/美食委员会。 每位理事承担一项与〈2019中华文化节〉相关的筹备项目。 需要为2019年3月的理事会物色新理事。新理事候选人需要尽早参与理事会活动。 现任会长和下届会长应有一年的工作交接期。下届会长将在现任会长任期结束的前一年选举出来。
《秋花明月》9-22 华盟中秋晚会 – 表演回顾
【 撰稿 明清 西红柿 麦子；摄影 肖宁，张建辉，Hong, Linda, Derek 和锺斌】 九月二十二日中秋佳节之际，奥斯汀华裔联盟举办了一埸盛大中秋文艺晚会。晚会邀请了十二文艺团体，为观众献上了十七个集聚中华文化精髓的文艺节目。从热情奔放的《开门红》拉开晚会帷幕的瞬间，到豪情万丈的大合唱《我們就是世界》的终结演出之时，观众们几乎应接不暇。优雅的歌舞刚完，国粹戏曲就已豋场。旗袍时装表演的倩影还历历在目，时空就已穿越到婉约妙曼的古典舞之中，真是多彩多姿应有尽有。其间，观众掌声此起彼伏，而主持人(Tonya Li, Ellen Chang, Tenghis)精彩美妙的解说更是锦上添花。 这次晚会得到了奥城华人的极大关注和支持。全部入埸券预售一空，很多同胞动手晚了还得四处找退票 – 出现了’’一票难求’’場面。晚会观众中，有奥城的华裔同胞，也大型企业首领，市政府要员，和其他美国朋友。四百人的场地座无虚席，连走道上都是站着看演出的人群。在走道站立的人群中，许多是这次晚会的”特别观众’’。 这些”特别观众’’是’’不请自来’’，请求在现场购票的人士。他们从不同的信息渠道得知中秋晚会消息后慕名而来。其中有美国家庭，也有不懂中文的其他亚裔国家的家庭。有子女同行的，也有单身人士。他们或是在中国工作过，或是曾有机会接触过中华文化。当几经周折，最终我们华盟工作人员同意额外售票给他们时，大家都欣然表示”只要能观看，站着也行’’。他们这种对中华文化的极度热爱，真是让人不能不感动。
