Communications Committee
Overview
The Communications Committees Chair is Xinmiao Zhao (新苗) and with two members: Hugh Li who is our current President and Daling Xu.
The communication committee serves the community as well as all the committees within the organization. Its purpose is to ensure ACAN’s voice is heard and make ACAN’s activities known to the greater Austin area and beyond.

Past Projects
The Communications committee focused on promotions of ACAN events, some typical activities are:
- Promoting ACCF through local news channels, such as web pages, radio station, and others
- Reporting of various activities,such as ACCF, outreach cultural educational opportunities, volunteering and family events, to ACAN web page, Facebook, Austin Capital News and other news as well as social media channels.
- In 2020, during the pandemic, the Communications committee inaugurated the first ACAN Summer Youth Writing Contest. It is now part of ACAN’s tradition.
Ongoing Projects
The Communications committee does not have an independent project at this time. It serves as an integral part of other active committees for any and all ACAN organization-wide projects.
