ACAN proudly announced that 51 applicants have been approved to receive the President’s Volunteering Service Award for the 2021-2022 school year (September 1st, 2021- August 31, 2022).

Just in three short years, the number of award winners went from 34 in 2020, to 41 in 2021 and 51 in 2022! The total number of service hours went from 4,400 in 2020, to 6,268 in 2021 and 7,903 in 2022! This is a truly remarkable achievement, thanks to the passion and diligence of our youth and the support of our parents.

Here is the list of the 51 award recipients. Congratulations to all of them!

Some Interesting Facts:

51 youth, served 7903 hours in total, average 155 hours per person

It’s our delight to see so many of our youth are doing wonderful works to serve our community (not just the Asian community, but the community in general). They are making significant impacts on education, serving underprivileged kids and homeless camp, to just name a few. They reached far beyond Austin, to New Mexico, to China and the world.
