I never understood why someone would willingly volunteer. The concept of working without expecting payment left me bewildered. After a year of giving back, the idea no longer seems so foreign. Volunteering at establishments such as CAMP Camp and The Salvation Army made me realize how much of a difference a single person could make…
AUSTIN, TEXAS – The Austin Chinese-American Network (ACAN) is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a prestigious Thrive Grant from the City of Austin Cultural Arts division (https://www.austintexas.gov/thrive). The $85,000 grant per year for two years aims to support diverse cultural and arts communities in Austin, enhancing the city’s image as a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse tourist destination.
