新闻发布 奧斯汀华裔联盟获得501(c)(3)认证 

【邱朝欣 撰稿】Austin, Texas, 2017年7月18日    奧斯汀华裔联盟于日前收到美国税务局（IRS）通知，正式获得501(c)(3) 公益组织的认证。根据国税局的来信，奥斯汀华裔联盟可以接受免税捐赠。 

奧斯汀华裔联盟致力于服务本地华人社区，弘扬中华文化，维护华人权益，增强华人群体的凝聚力。联盟将以丰富多彩的活动形式促进华人社区的交流和相互理解，鼓励本地华裔同胞关心政务，参与公共事务和社区服务，希望有更多的华人成为主流社会的领袖。自从今年三月正式成立以来，华盟在短短的三个多月时间里分别在教育，社区服务，休闲，文艺，摄影等多方面组织了三十多次各种活动。下半年的更多活动也在积极筹备之中。

Austin, Texas, July 18, 2017  Austin Chinese-American Network (ACAN) has received a letter from the Internal Revenue Services that approved ACAN as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  The letter informed ACAN that “we determined you’re exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3).”  The IRS letter further explained that “Donors can deduct contributions they make to you under IRC Section 170.” And “You’re also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.”

Austin Chinese-American Network devotes itself to serving local Chinese-American community, to promoting Chinese-American unity and solidarity, and to protecting rights and interests of the Chinese-Americans.  ACAN strives to raise awareness of Chinese culture, to promote Chinese-American interest in public affairs, to encourage participations in community services, and to develop community leaders.  Since the formal establishment in March 2017, ACAN has organized or sponsored more than thirty various community events covering areas such as education, community services, leisure living, performing arts, photographing and more.  More events for the rest of the year are planned.
