【撰稿 明清】 奥斯汀华裔联盟于2018年10月5日举行了2018年第二次理事大会。会长赵俊达和三位副会长，邱朝欣、张铭聪和赵采姣分别在大会上发言。他们阐述了华盟服务社区和传承中华文化的重大意义，同时表达了对今后工作的信心。会议在会长赵俊达的主持下，首先讨论并表决通过了以下四点内容: 近期增设宣传委员会。以后可能增设商业/美食委员会。 每位理事承担一项与〈2019中华文化节〉相关的筹备项目。 需要为2019年3月的理事会物色新理事。新理事候选人需要尽早参与理事会活动。 现任会长和下届会长应有一年的工作交接期。下届会长将在现任会长任期结束的前一年选举出来。
[明清撰稿] 9月3日，一则由奥斯汀华裔联盟理事刘炜(Wei Liu)传递的休斯顿在”哈维”水灾后急需外援的信息和现场照片，顿时牵动了所有读者的心。华盟理事会会长赵俊达(Peter Chao)，副会长张铭聪(Darda)和主任理事赵采姣立即策划，并第一时间与休斯顿大型华人自发自救义工团队Sunrise取得联系。 9月4日，通过奥斯汀华裔联盟理事会紧急会议，一场与时间赛跑的争夺战在奥斯汀华界全面布署和展开。理事会上，理事们分别查商店库存，列购物清单，安排当天购物和送货行程。当即就有两位理事各自捐出了千元大款，为即刻购物提供了启动资金。
