These volunteering students travel to rural China – Weishan village in Yunnan province, to teach local students English and engage them in cultural exchanges.

【撰稿 明清】 奥斯汀华裔联盟于2018年10月5日举行了2018年第二次理事大会。会长赵俊达和三位副会长,邱朝欣、张铭聪和赵采姣分别在大会上发言。他们阐述了华盟服务社区和传承中华文化的重大意义,同时表达了对今后工作的信心。会议在会长赵俊达的主持下,首先讨论并表决通过了以下四点内容: 近期增设宣传委员会。以后可能增设商业/美食委员会。 每位理事承担一项与〈2019中华文化节〉相关的筹备项目。 需要为2019年3月的理事会物色新理事。新理事候选人需要尽早参与理事会活动。 现任会长和下届会长应有一年的工作交接期。下届会长将在现任会长任期结束的前一年选举出来。
