In July 2020 ACAN announced its first Summer Youth Writing Contest (SYWC). It has finally come to a close. We received overwhelming responses. The many entries show amazing talents. 【麦子撰稿】母亲节，总是离不开温馨的花朵。粉色像妈妈一样温柔，紫色，像妈妈一样温暖。母亲节2018年5月13日，一年一度的华裔联盟母亲节茶会在温馨的气氛中拉开帷幕。为了筹备这次活动，Anglea和几个义工一大早就奔波于各个花店，采买新鲜美丽的花材。而我只是匆忙看了一会儿女儿舞蹈大赛的表演，没能得到比赛结果，就匆忙赶回了家里，烤好了24个香草和巧克力口味的cupcake。

华盟云南巍山英语支教夏令营纪实 – 高中营篇

【朱凯琳撰稿】SIW (Summer in Weishan) 夏令营已经有三年历史。在2016年和2017年的夏天各有2位和3位奥斯汀的学生来到云南省大理州巍山彝族回族自治县巍山一中进行为期二周的英语支教，在2017年她们除了支教巍山一中还走访了巍山的其他学校,包括小学，初中和职业高中，对巍山的教育情况有了全面的了解，建设小学和美丽班也就是在那时走进了她们的视野。2018年随着华盟的日益壮大和教育活动的不断开展，SIW的小蒋老师和她SIW 2017的队友小邱老师来到华盟教育工作组宣传这个夏令营，得到了华盟教育委员会的支持，成为华盟2018年的夏令营项目之一。小蒋老师通过华盟招募，与应聘者一一面试，最后确定了以9位高中生为主和2名中学生为助手的SIW2018, 并分为‘高中营’和‘小学营’。
