We are Cleaner Austin!
Our mission is to ensure the cleanliness and environmental friendliness of Austin’s parks and trails, providing a pleasant experience for all users. We are committed to promoting cleanliness, preserving the natural beauty of these areas, and encouraging responsible usage through a range of initiatives and collaborative endeavors.
The project was initiated a few years ago with a focus on trail cleaning activities. In April 2023, leadership was transitioned from Tori to Ryan Gu, who has taken charge of spearheading our efforts. As part of this transition, we have established a monthly cadence for trail cleaning activities. These initiatives are designed to maintain the cleanliness and sustainability of Austin’s trails and parks, ensuring they remain enjoyable and accessible to all.
Furthermore, we are actively seeking a partnership with WW StuCo, aiming to foster greater engagement within our school community. By collaborating with schools and recreational organizations in Austin, we strive to create additional opportunities for involvement, participation, and interaction among students from both Westwood High School and the wider Austin community.
